Here is a photo and letter submitted by Joanne Swann in Australia... GREAT JOB JOANNE!
Hi there!,
I found your website whilst I was searching for inspiration for a rocket/spaceship cake for my son's 3rd birthday.
I could not believe my luck when I can across the 'Incredible Voyager Space Cake' which used the football cake pan (pure genius).
Please find attached a photo of the cake I prepared. I used fondant icing as we were expecting rather hot weather and the party was to be held outside. (I still used butter icing for the smoke and fire) I was a little bit disappointed with the colours as I was hoping for a more vibrant finish.
Our guests and the birthday boy were suitably impressed so all went well! (oh apart from the slight damage on the right side of the cake which was inflicted by the birthday boy)
Anyway thanks again for the inspiration.
Kind regards
Joanne
