  • Easy to create by adding food coloring or topping desserts with sanding sugars, candy confetti sprinkles and Pink spray mist.
  • Pink Cupcakes, Cakes and Cookies
    Add a few drops of food coloring to white cake or cookie mix and to white frosting. (Red coloring, used minimally creates pinkish colors). Make a Cream Cheese Frosting tinted pink, really delicious and different from regular frosting recipes.
  • Pink Whipped Cream
    Add one teeny drop of food coloring at a time to get desired color. Be careful not to over-whip the cream or it will turn watery. Cool Whip and other brands – defrost and add coloring. (Red coloring, used minimally creates pinkish colors). Another option is using canned spray whipped cream and top with Pink Sanding Sugars.
  • Pink Champagne
    Add a teensy drop of food coloring to each glass to get desired pink color and garnish with pinkish raspberries.
  • Other Pink Foods
    Add food coloring to mashed potatoes, pancakes, waffles, etc.

Some Party-Giving Tips

Present all the desserts in individual pieces, perhaps on pink paper doilies and cupcake liners. Serve on silver trays or glass dishes for a visual effect and table decorations.

Borrow instead of purchasing silver trays, dishes, glasses, etc. When you return the borrowed item, send a small gift of potted flowers, bath soap, etc. as a thank you.

Stay away from foods that are sticky or may melt too quickly.

Have plenty of napkins.

Buffet and Dessert Tables, if you have them, should be set-up with a starting point by displaying plates, napkins and utensils. If you do not have a separate beverage area, add this to the end of the table.
