Ugly Tie-Shaped Cookies
Recipe for Royal Icing For Cookie Decorating
These are sugar cookies (made thicker than normal) by using a tie-shaped cookie cutter.
The frosting (see recipe) was made and divided into smaller bowls. Each bowl was tinted a different color and well blended. Each color was placed in a squeezable bottle, such as a ketchup or mustard condiment bottle you can purchase at the grocery store or dollar store. Leftover frosting was stored in the refrigerator for easy decorating anytime in the future and will last for up to six weeks.
Let your imagination go as you decorate these tie cookies... you may start out being very precise in your design but after you decorate 10 or so cookies, your creativity will flow and the fun will really begin!
