Every child needs to spend quality time with its parents and/or grandparents.  Now parents/grandparents can use this to their advantage and teach children how to achieve goals, manage earnings and get good attention.

Create minute coupons and a job list with how many minutes they can earn for each job completed.  They can also earn minutes for good grades or for just having a good day.

Use minute coupons earned to plan their birthday party, go to special events, play a game, read, build Lego's together or whatever your child wants to do.  Set limits, i.e., if you are on a budget then a trip to the amusement park isn't an option and you give a listing of FREE choices.  If it is to pick out their party supplies then you set a realistic goal of so many minutes earn you the tablecover, plates, cups, napkins, etc. Be sure to let them choose their theme and help plan games/activities for their parties.

Below is a sample of what your minute coupons can look like.

Be creative and put a picture on it of their favorite cartoon character or a picture of the you with your child.  You can create these in Microsoft Word or a program that has a label template.  Then just print a sheet and cut.  You do not need to print on labels and wouldn't want to or they would end up stuck to places you don't want stickers stuck on!

Be sure to keep minute coupons in your purse or wallet and be sure to hand them one when they earn it.
