Invites:
- The PartyWorks has Invitations to match your theme or you can trace around a plane shapped cookie cutter.
- Cookie cutter invites The Party Works sells B-17 to name just one there are actually 35 different planes available.
My son actually would promote this plane if you are interested C-47. Trace on to card stock and cut out or decorate and you have an original invitation.
- Cookie cutters - make up sugar cookies and decorate and had out with the party info on the cookie - either with icing or The Party Works edible writing pens
Decorate: Streamers and Balloons are a must for any child's party. Pick two colors from the party ware and incorporate them into your streamers and balloons.
Cake: Your table will need a center piece and we recommend using your cake. You can decorate simple cakes or make them more complicated depending on your skill. Would look cute if you had little planes all over the table too.

Simple Cake suggestions:
- Get a Mylar Balloon with a Jet on it (don't blown it up!) then spray the back of it with veggie oil and put on top of your cake.
- You can take a picture to your local bakery and they can copy an edible topper (if you don't have something that is copy written).
- Make cupcakes and add a little toy plane to the top with candy confetti sprinkles in a matching color.
Games: We suggest you take traditional games and rename them. Such as pin the tale on the donkey, pin the tail on the plane! You can actually blow up a photo of a plane and then trace a piece of the plane like the tail onto paper and cut them out. Then take either a glue stick and add it to the back just before the childs turn or copy the tail piece onto sticker paper. Childrens games click here!
Present Game: Take a toy airplane and these are also readily found at the stores such as Wal-Mart, Target and have all the children sit in a circle. The child that brought their gift holds their gift. Now you have a coke bottle and the birthday child sits in the center of the circle. The birthday child gets to spin the bottle first. Where it points s(he) opens the gift from that guest. You continue and if the bottle ends up where the child has already given their gift make a rule you continue going east or west until that person that still has a gift passes the gift to the birthday child. After the birthday child spins the bottle, then the person that hands the gift to the birthday child gets to spin the bottle next. You can also draw names from a hat to decide which gift gets opened first.
Activity: You can use your cookie cutter for more than just the Invitations. Bake up a batch of cookies, and let the guests decorate their plane. Each child can have two one to eat and one to take home as a favor (so this duals as activity and favor in one).
Favor Bags: Are must you can fill them as much as you can afford if the key here.
- Generic: key chains, pens, pencils, erasers, notepads, whistles, yoyo's, stickers, tattoos, plastic straws, bendable figures to give a few ideas (remember age appropriate items).
- Toy plane, candy is always a must and if you want healthy try fruit snacks that match your theme, toy gliders from such as key word: Plastic Foam Airplane Gilders (You could decorate and then give each child one as a favor and again duals as two in one).

You can purchase items at The Blue Angels site:
You may be lucky and have the Blue Angels, The Thunderbirds or now Birds appear in your city. With that you can check out their booths and get free items such as pencils, stickers, and to see them fly is something else. Check out the link to see when their next appearance is and where for this years line up

http://www.airforce.com/thunderbirds/ (Thunderbirds) site air shows
You can also contact your local Air National Guard or Air Force and ask for the recruiting office and tell them you are doing a party and wondering if they have any items they could provide for the party. They usually have stickers, pencils, and specialty items they could give you just by asking. You may want to ask if you can have a tour done, I am not sure the Military or Guard will allow this with the 9-11 events unless you know of someone but heck it is worth a try and the worst thing they can say is sorry we can't. If you don't live close to a base check it out on-line and email them.
