Fondant Shape |
Using this method to decorate your cakes is oh-so-easy
and it is like being back in Kindergarten playing with clay,
which makes it oh-so-fun.
Note from Editor:
Whenever I decorate a cake with shapes, I make extra, sprinkle with a little white powdered sugar (Confectioners Sugar), dust them off, let them dry over night and put in a jar. The jar is pretty, filled with colors and shapes, and as I need quick decorations, there they are. With metal Cut-Out shapes (see end of this article), it is easy to make fun 3-D shapes for your fondant cakes and cupcakes.
SHAPES INSTRUCTIONS:
if you were making a pie crust,
press down with a Cut-Out shape and lift away.
I suggest removing shapes using a small spatula.
It is THAT easy!
Brush-On Edible Paints are great to use on Fondant shapes for added colorful details and effects.
