Fairy Toast
Having a birthday slumber party? Share a story with all the
guests before they go to sleep (or turn on their flashlights
after you leave the room) about 'fairies'. In the morning,
serve them special Fairy Toast
(or let them do their own)...
You'll need:
White Bread
Food Coloring
Small Paint Brushes
Directions:
Into individual custard cups or small plastic drinking cups,
add 4 or 5 drops of food coloring.
Add to each color approximately 1 to 2 tablespoons of milk
or evaporated milk to make the food coloring thinner.
Now you have a color pallet. If the kids are going to create
their own Fairy Toast, use larger containers to avoid the
smaller ones from being tipped over.
Using the paintbrushes, create colorful designs.
Variations:
While the paint is wet, Sanding Sugars can be used to
jazz up the bread - or - toast the bread.
