Invitations:
Make fancy invites on pink paper. Use fancy font to write your party details.
Include a ballot for voting for the awards ceremony. You can put as many or
as few catergories as you like. Some examples could be: Best Actress, Scariest
Character, Meanest, etc. Designate each guest to dress as a particular princess.
Roll them up into little scrolls and tie them with some gold ribbon.
Or use the Lights, Camera, Action invitations from The Party Works.
Decorations:
Set out the red carpet! Use red table covers or red fabric or felt. "Rope"
the area lining the "red carpet" with streamers.
Have someone take lots of pictures as guest arrive and walk down the "red carpet". Or simply set out some flashing strobe lights to give the same effect.
Decorate with mylar balloons and streamers in black, gold and silver.
Decorate using Disney Princess mylar and shaped balloons, Hollywood-Take One Director Clapboard jumbo jumbo balloons,or Hollywood mylar balloons.
Use star shaped mylar balloons.
Hang Disney Princess banners.
Hang shiny cut out stars in gold and silver with fishing line from ceilings.
Hang Film Stars ceiling decor.
Use shiny Christmas garlands in gold and silver to hang in doorways for "curtains".
Or use Lights, Camera, Action door decorations.
Use silver Christmas tinsel for table confetti, Disney Princess table confetti
or Lights, Camera, Action
glittery confetti.
Set out the Oscar Awards decoration trophies on a seperate table for extra decoration. These will be used as the actual award prizes.
Hang Princess posters on the walls.
Use construction or posterboard cutouts for a "walk of fame". Have
kids trace their handprints onto the
paper and write their character name on it:)
Use Disney Princess party ware, Star Attraction partyware, or Take 1 partyware.
Or use solid colors of silver, gold and black for your plates, cups,tablecovers, etc.
Cake
or Cupcakes:
Make a castle cake using the Castle
cake pan.
Make a star shaped cake using the Star
shaped pan or use the star
mini or star cookie treat
pans for smaller, individual treats
Make a Cinderella cake with the Cinderella
shaped cake pan or use the Cinderella
mini treat pan for smaller individual treats
Or use the mini tiered cake pan to make individual cakes for everyone
Food
and Snacks:
Don't
forget the after party. Set up tables with silver serving trays.
Serve finger foods like tea sandwiches, mini muffins, tiny cookies, pretzels,
mini veggie and fruit kabobs.
Serve 7up or sparkling apple cider from plastic champagne glasses.
Make star shaped cookies. You can let the kids ice and decorate them as an activity/take home favor.
Goodie
bags and prizes:
Use paper popcorn bags or Disney Princess
goodie bags and fill with:
Disney Princess character favors
play jewelery, bracelets, necklaces
hair bows, scrunchies, barrettes
play make up; glittery nail polish, lip gloss, body glitter, etc.
sunglasses or star shaped sunglasses
Princess crowns
You can also use small, handled gift bags or small canvas bags.
Games and Activities:
Have a ballot box near the party entrance for the guest to deposit thier ballots
into.
Set up a stage area and make a mock podium out of an appliance box.
Set up your table with the Oscar Awards trophies by the podium.
Arrange chairs in rows or set up small, round individual tables for guests to sit at during the "ceremony".
Use a karaoke machine or a mic for guests to give their small acceptance speeches
Designate someone to be the event's MC
