This cute cake takes a lot of patience with time to decorate and need to practice the skill of piping by pulling out on the frosting tube to make the stand-up fur -- directions for FUR at the end of this description. The ZING is made using a tedd bear cake pan and lollipop sticks to hold in place. The heart shapes on the feet and message heart shapes are cookies made with red cookie dough... various re-usable metal heart-shaped cutters are included in this package. Printable directions are at the end of this description: The professional food coloring is in a jar and a little dab goes a long way; does not water down the frosting and makes vibrant colors. The photo of the cake is just a sample -- create your own special cake with these decorating products.

YOU MAKE MY HEART ZING Mini Cake:
Needed: Decorating Tips 2, 4, 6, 17 and 2 white gum balls
Make the Day Before:
Make & bake your favorite cake recipe or box mix, following baking instructions included with the teddy bear cake pan. It is RECOMMENDED to use a FIRM cake, such as Pound Cake.
Make your favorite recipe of Buttercream Frosting or use the recipe included with the cake pan.
Make your favorite cookie and tint red -- or frost cookies with red smooth frosting. Using the heart-shaped metal cutters, cut out and bake 2 small hearts for the bottoms of the feet, a large heart for the tummy area and a medium to large (your choice) heart to hold in his hand.
Directions:
When the Teddy Bear cake is baked and completely cool, trim off hands and arms. Using rose pink frosting, ice smooth the mouth, tummy area and bottom of feet with a spatula. Cut lollipop sticks to 7 inches long and insert 3 or 4 into the cake for each arm. Cover the cake with Tip 17 Pull-Out Star Fur. Pipe Tip 4 for the teeth. Position the white gum ball eyes and pipe Tip 4 heart or circle red pupils. Pipe icing onto the lollipop sticks and position cookies on the sticks in arms with smallest closest to the body. Pipe Tip 17 pull-out star fur hands, piping over smaller cookie entirely to create arm effect. Using Tip 2, write messages on cookies.
To Make Pull-Out Star Fur
Use decorating bag with tip at a 45O angle to surface. Squeeze until icing builds up, then pull tip down and away from surface. When icing strand is long enough (about 1/2 in.) stop pressure and pull tip away. Start from bottom of area to be covered, working horizontally, then begin a new layer overlapping previous layer. For a more natural look, sometimes pull tip right or left, instead of straight up. Remember to keep icing strand clusters close together so that cake doesn’t show through.
